Product Description

Ω Vintage Omega Constellation Jumbo TV — A Forgotten Icon

The Omega Constellation Ref. 168.0062 / 368.0855 is one of the most distinctive vintage Constellations of the 1970s — a bold, oversized “TV” design powered by Omega’s Calibre 1011 automatic chronometer.

Measuring approximately 37×42 mm, it was remarkably large for its era, giving the watch a presence that still feels surprisingly modern today. Its integrated stainless-steel bracelet, architectural case and Observatory medallion make it unmistakably a product of Omega’s golden mechanical years.

But the real magic appears on examples with an original spider dial.

Over decades, the lacquer can naturally develop a network of fine cracks, creating a unique pattern that turns every dial into an individual piece of history. No two spider dials age in exactly the same way — and when combined with a sharp, unpolished case, the result can be extraordinary.

Inside beats the Calibre 1011, an automatic chronometer movement representing Omega’s continued commitment to precision during the transitional 1970s. The reference was part of Omega’s Constellation chronometer line and was officially documented as a 1974 model.

Today, the Jumbo TV is no longer simply an old Omega. It has become a fascinating piece of 1970s watch design — large, unconventional, mechanically serious and increasingly appreciated by collectors.

The case shows the design of its era.

The movement shows Omega’s precision.

The spider dial shows its history.

That is what makes the 168.0062 / 368.0855 so special: it was designed in the 1970s, but somehow looks like it was waiting decades for collectors to understand it.
